The Drake Group Education Fund Webinar Series – Critical Issues in College Sport. During the academic year, TDGEF conducts a monthly webinar that assembles a panel of nationally recognized experts to address an important current issue in college sport. Topics range from athlete compensation, health and academic outcomes to national governance organization and conference restructure. The program is hosted by 2aDays.com, a website dedicated to educating prospective college athletes and their parents. Recordings appear on TDGEF YouTube channel and include post-event notes and Q&As.
2024 Student Journalism Prize for Investigative Reporting on Intercollegiate Athletics. The $1,000 Prize annually recognizes the print, video, or multimedia work of a graduate or undergraduate college student journalist or team of student journalists for investigative reporting on intercollegiate athletics. The work must address an issue related to the welfare of college athletes, economics of college sports, academic integrity, ethical conduct, gender and racial equity, treatment of a whistleblower, or other significant issues.
The Drake Group Education Fund National Awards. TDGEF annually recognizes the actions and national contributions of extraordinary individuals and organizations who have produced a positive impact on the conduct of intercollegiate athletics: The Hutchins Award, the Gerald Gurney Service Award, The Drake Hero Award, the National Public Service Award, the Presidential Award and the Student Journalism Prize for Investigative Reporting on Intercollegiate Athletics.
