The Drake Group was asked to provide a comparative analysis of the first state name/image/likeness legislation that would go into effect during the summer of 2010, the Florida Intercollegiate Athlete Compensation and Rights (SB646) which was signed by Governor DeSantis June 12, 2020 and a proposed bill filed by U.S. Senator Rubio, the Fairness in Collegiate Athletics Act on June 18, 2020.
